The Human Metronome

Alan Myers the drummer for the band Devo has died in Los Angeles. Myers died of brain cancer on June 25th. he was 58 years old. Alan Myers joined the band when they were still a local band from Akron, Ohio in 1976. He played with the band during their most successful period until 1985. His drumming was integral to Devo's mechanical sound that top charts with songs like "Whip It" Myers was called the human metronome and Gerald Casale said "People who saw thought he was using a drum machine.... No ever drummed like that"
