Beverly Hills Nannies Reunion

The original series Beverly Hills Nannies is sometimes fun to watch and some times not so fun. The premise of the show for those who haven't seen it is just as the title suggests is about a group of nannies in Beverly Hills. Originally there were seven families on the show. The number of families was whittled down as the season went on as several were just too dull. These families were tended to by nine nannies. Well sort of. One nanny didn't seem to ever nanny and one was really just the hard parting friend of the owner of the "agency". Three of the nannies were "mannies" and they were the most sane of the bunch. The female nannies all seemed be be a rather catty lot. The main nanny Kristin has some sort of track record and recruits this lot to work for her new business. The business meetings all seem to involve cocktails, kow towing and tyranny.

Seemed if one of the most operative words when looking at a reality show. If reality shows showed reality as it really is they would be beyond tedious. This is entertainment after all. Is Cindy Margolis one of the mothers really as trampy as she appears on the show? Is Arianne Bellamar truly as nuts as she is made to look? Is Marika Tsircou actually that out of touch with reality? These three are the most interesting of the mothers. The others were some what forgettable, bless their hearts.

The reunion show was the last show of the season. As the name implies it was a reunion of the cast both nannies and mothers. Let the name calling begin! The most telling part of the program and the reality of it all is the choice of host Ross Mathews. Ross is very entertaining on the show but lets face it he is no Charlie Rose. This is entertainment not real! Most of the show is rather cringe worthy and does really get interesting until the mothers are brought in. This is when the import of the mothers and nannies is displayed. Front row nannies and mothers interesting back row not so much. Will this show have a second season? That remains to be seen. It is as times entertaining in a cringe worthy way so who is to say.
