Joan Rivers vs. Costco

Never a shrinking violet Joan Rivers has declared a new war on Costco, the big box store. It seems that Costco has refused to sell Joan's latest book as there is a curse on the back cover. Well that struck a bad cord with Ms Rivers. Not being one to take a slight lying down Ms Rivers brought a film crew and a pile of books to the Costco in Burbank and proceeded to hand cuff herself to a Costco shopping cart. Needless to say Costco didn't take kindly to Joan's shtick. They called the Burbank police. Joan's book titled "I Hate Everything...Starting With Me " has been banned because of its content by Costco. Ms Rivers using a megaphone she cleverly brought with her announced "Costco should not be like Nazi Germany! Next thing they'll be burning the bible." and "This is a store that sells 300 rolls of toilet paper at the same time, and I say any customer that buys 300 rolls of toilet paper deserves a funny book to sit on the toilet and read." The Burbank police escorted Joan from the premises. No charges were filed but a point was made. Oh yeah a lot of people now know about her book too!
