Hiroshima let's Remember!
Monday, August 6, 1945 at 8:15 am the first atom bomb dropped on the city of Hiroshima. The Enola Gay flew over Hiroshima and "Little Boy" the first atomic bomb incinerated 80,000 people. The nuclear age arrived. 3 days later yet another bomb "Fat Man" was dropped upon Nagasaki.
The bombing of Hiroshima changed the world. In the following days another 40,000 people died.
Here we are 67 years later. Hiroshima has been reborn On the site where Little Boy detonated a park has grown. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial stands as a reminder of what humanity can unleash. The A-Bomb Dome is the shell of a building that was once part of central Hiroshima. The city of Hiroshima was founded in 1589 it was 254 years later that Little Boy leveled the city. 70% of the Hiroshima's buildings were disintegrated by the explosion. In The Hiroshima Peace Park in a knoll dedicated to the 70,000 unidentified victims of the atomic bombing.
It has been 67 years and we need to remember. August 6th is Hisoshima Peace Day. Let us remember.

It was our past. It could be our future once again, if we don't heed the lessons from our history... The human toll was devastating. People still suffer the repercussions to this day. In the museum, I'm told, human flesh still writhes in jars of preservative. It just slid off people's arms. I remember hearing my folks talking about it. I was around 2. For the eye witness story, read "Hiroshima" by John Hersey, I think his name is, or Hershey. Memory dim.
